A denim colourway made its debut on the Air Jordan 6 back in 2019. But for 2022, we get another kids-exclusive pair clad in washed denim fabric. The Air Jordan 6 Retro (PS) “Washed Denim” gives that acid wash denim effect for a lighter finish perfect with a pair of jeans. Air Jordan 6 releases this year are extremely popular thanks to the recent UNC; but it seems like the kids are also getting another heat colourway.
The Air Jordan 6 isn’t the only model getting a washed denim treatment. The likes of the Air Jordan 1 Low, Mid, and the coveted women’s Air Jordan 1 High all seem to be part of a yet-to-be-announced collection. Either way, we’re excited!
Introduced in 1991, the Air Jordan 6 became Michael Jordan’s first-ever championship sneaker. Although there’s no specific design inspiration unlike the previous model; design cues suggest that the J6 actually took inspiration from the Porsche 911 – specifically the rear spoiler.
Leather and nubuck make up most of the Air Jordan 6. Various perforations across the midfoot to the rear provide breathability and ventilation. The Jumpman logos adorn the mid-panel of the tongue as the pull tab comes in rubber.
Nike Air logos on the heel stick to true Jordan Brand identity.
PU makes up the midsole, with the usual visible Air unit on the heel for cushioning. Even more circles complete the outsole for consistent traction.
This Air Jordan 6 Retro (PS) “Washed Denim” boasts a light denim fabric body. Streaks of acid wash design appear all over the shoe for added design.
Lime Yellow can be seen on the heel and the Jumpman logo on the outsole.
With no information about adult sizing, keep an eye out for official updates regarding its release. Because of the Air Jordan 6’s recent popularity, expect a lot of attention on these kids-exclusives.
