One of the most surprising Air Jordan Retro drops of the year finally lands this March. The Air Jordan 7 Retro SE “Sapphire” flaunts transparent panels and exposes the beauty of Huarache technology. Neutral exteriors expose the vibrant Sapphire and Pink accents in this special-edition Air Jordan 7. A good go-to shoe in the rotation for all seasons if you ask us.
2022 marks the Air Jordan 7’s 30th anniversary (we know, a lot of milestones for both Nike and Jordan this year); and we have two confirmed Air Jordan 7 Retro releases scheduled in the first half of the year. Aside from the return of the “Citrus” rendition from 2006, the new “Sapphire” colourway adds another vibrant makeover. While we’re still unsure about OG colourways coming back, let’s take a detailed look at this upcoming pair for March.
The Air Jordan 7 moved on from the usual Air in the heel setup and utilised a full-length Air unit. Before the J7, the Air Jordan 2 incorporated the same cushioning system.
Inspired by West African tribe culture, the Air Jordan 7 boasts unique lines and curves on the upper. Multiple stitchings keep the panels intact. On the rear to the midfoot, Huarache technology features an open portion and a neoprene interior for improved fit and stability.
The Jumpman logo appears on the ankle collar.
The foam midsole features raised sidewalls on the heel and forefoot for extra lateral stability. Below, multiple round craters provide consistent grip on most surfaces.
This Air Jordan 7 Retro SE “Sapphire” arrives in a Tan nubuck leather upper with transparent panels on the midfoot and ankle collar. The transparent sections expose the Sapphire and Pink neoprene material inside.
A Black and Grey midsole flaunts white speckles for that added effect. The rubber outsole finishes it off with various hues and semi-translucent sections.
Because of various celebrations in 2022, expect Jordan Brand to unveil more details about the Air Jordan 7. Keep an eye out for this release as the shoe officially arrives in late March 2022.
