On the 22nd of June 2020, the Nike Air Max 2090 BeTrue released as part of the Pride collection.
Since 2012 Nike BeTrue drops have celebrated the LGBTQIA+ community each year. Various sneakers have appeared as part of the pack featuring rainbow colourways.
The Nike Air Max 2090 BeTrue‘s mesh and synthetic upper is dressed in multi-coloured hints of pink, indigo, green, purple, blue, and white. The BeTrue statement is seen on the heel coloured in glittered black. The insole is also covered in rainbow with multiple Swoosh logos.
The outsole is entirely translucent, while the midsole is white. This Air Max 2090 is one of the brightest and explosive colourways around, a real eye catcher. The updated Air Max unit in the heel is enclosed within a light blue TPU clip providing great impact protection.
The BeTrue campaign started in 1985, originally allowing athletes and fans to show their school colours. Decades later, the BeTrue campaign took on a new form and grew into one of Nike’s annual sneaker and apparel collections.
