Nike Air Max 90 "Black / Yellow Strike"

The Nike Air Max 90 is not a Tuned Air model, but this colour combination sure does look like it. This upcoming Nike Air Max 90 “Black / Yellow-Grey” appears in a recognizable makeover.

The Nike Air Max 90 debuted in 1990 with a different name, the Air Max III. But Nike eventually renamed the shoe as Air Max 90 based on the year of its release. Tinker Hatfield’s legendary runner revolutionized the way we see running trainers. All because of its thick foam midsole where the Air Max unit is placed. With Nike’s Air Max technology, the AM90 showcased a new era for running. The model sported a visible Nike Air Max unit in the heel, which is what it’s known for.

30 years later, Nike’s Air Max 90 continues to be one of the best-selling silhouettes in Nike’s lifestyle selections.

The upcoming colourway features Black, Grey, and Yellow pigments. The black mesh base and suede side panels make up the upper. Hits of Metallic Silver/Grey appear on both of the Swooshes; the mini-Swoosh on the forefoot and the Swoosh on its usual location.

Yellow accents adorn the tongue, heel panel, and the Air Max unit in the heel.

Finishing the design is the visible heel Air Max unit and Nike’s classic waffle outsole that arrives in black.

Despite already releasing a lot of colour schemes, the Nike Air Max 90 never misses every time. And this Black/Yellow-Grey makeover is definitely going to be a must-cop to the rotation!

Scheduled for a release in October 2021, the Nike Air Max 90 “Black / Yellow-Grey” will be available on the Nike website and select retailers worldwide.
