A futuristic colourway for a futuristic shoe. This Nike Air Max Plus 3 (Tuned 3) “Black Graphic” features a fitting design with an all-over graphic print. Truly a perfect pair for all seasons!
Just when we thought that the Air Max is “techy” enough, Nike experimented with the renowned cushioning system once more. This resulted in the creation of the Tuned Air technology. Unlike the usual Air Max, Tuned Air makes use of blow-moulded Air units with rubber hemispheres that provide more support and stability during impacts. The 1998 debut of the Nike Air Max Plus, Tuned 1 for short, put the Tuned Air to the test – and it exceeded expectations!
The Nike Air Max Plus 3, or Tuned 3, takes things to the next level with its improved upper and design. Responsible for its lightweight and breathable feel is the mesh upper with multiple TPU strips strategically placed for added durability. A leather mudguard also provides even more support and structure to the low-top trainer. The plastic toe cap completes the supportive and protective design of the shoe. A mini Swoosh near the forefoot area exudes a subtle approach to emphasise on the tech.
Two Tuned Air Max units adorn the heel and forefoot. They retain the familiar bouncy feeling that you love whilst keeping your foot stable at all times. The large plastic heel clip also serves as a midfoot shank and covers the rest of the rear panels.
A modified waffle traction outsole gives a consistent grip anywhere you go.
Closing the year is the Nike Air Max Plus 3 (Tuned 3) “Black Graphic Print”. Dressed in mostly black, the mesh upper boasts a marble-like graphic print consisting of Black, Grey, and White pigments. Yellow TN logos on the medial, tongue, and outsole add a vibrant touch to the rather stealthy design.
Expect a December 2021 release of this shoe on the Nike website and other retailers worldwide.
