The ASICS Gel-LYTE III first launched in 1991 as a performance running trainer. With its low-top construction, the Gel-Lyte III became a fan favourite because of its lightweight ride; as well as a comfortable feeling underfoot. The most notable design feature found on the ASICS Gel-LYTE III is the split tongue construction.
The split tongue construction provided a better fit thanks to the padded interior; its wider opening also allowed for easier on and off.

This ASICS Gel-LYTE III OG “Aqua Black” features a Light blue mesh base with Aqua Blue suede overlays on most of the panels. Black accents comprise the ASICS stripes, lining, and midsole.
Hints of Yellow appear on the default laces and the ASICS label on the heel.
