The CLOT x adidas Stan Smith Espadrille “Black Green” blends classic tennis shoe styling with relaxed summer design. It’s not your typical Stan Smith. And that’s exactly the point.
Edison Chen’s label, CLOT, continues to explore new ways of reshaping traditional silhouettes. This time, they’ve added a twist to the iconic Stan Smith — turning it into something laid-back, yet still clean enough to turn heads. The upper comes dressed in blacked-out suede, with perforated 3-Stripes down the sides for that familiar Adidas feel. At the toe, a line of embroidered Chinese characters brings subtle detail that ties back to CLOT’s cultural roots.
At the heel, you’ll find green hairy suede – a nod to the OG Stan Smith colourway – giving the pair just the right amount of pop. Co-branded silver logos land on the tongue and sockliner, marking the continued link between the two labels.
What makes this pair truly different, though, is the sole. Gone is the standard rubber cup. Instead, the design sits on a woven espadrille-style jute midsole, offering something softer, breezier, and more laid-back. Rubber outsoles sit underneath to maintain grip and structure.
This is a hybrid trainer that’s easygoing but never lazy. Pair it with linen trousers, relaxed shorts, or even denim — the vibe holds.
