New Balance 1906r "Burgundy" M1906RCC

After the gained popularity of the 2002r, New Balance brought back another model with a similar style. More colourways of the 1906r emerge as we make our way through the spring and summer seasons. This New Balance 1906r “Burgundy” lands in an impressive makeover that strays away from the usual Grey colourways. With its comfortable cushioning, the 1906r will not be going anywhere anytime soon!

By the looks of it, New Balance continues to soar and there’s no stopping it from rising. The retro releases helped reintroduce rather forgotten models from the past and get a new lease on life. Just like the 1906r, which is probably a rather unknown trainer a decade ago, now making waves in more styles.

The New Balance 1906r looks like one of those running shoes from the 90s, but it’s actually not! This trainer originally came out in 2009, which is surprising because most New Balance retro releases come from the 90s. The NB 1906r primarily took design inspiration from the early 2000s running sneakers.

Mesh makes up the upper of the shoe for a lightweight ride. Synthetic leather overlays adorn high-wear zones for durability and protection.

The shoe features the same sole setup as the 2002r, with the ABZORB and ACTEVA LITE midsole providing decent impact protection.

This New Balance 1906r “Burgundy” features a Burgundy body with Black accents on the N logos and heel counter. The foam midsole comes in Sail White for that vintage look.

You can cop this NB 1906r colourway this April 2023. Expect a lot more drops throughout the year as the brand pushes the shoe further into the spotlight.
