New Balance Made in the UK M1500 Black / Mint

The New Balance 1500 was introduced in 1989 as an all-rounder. Marketed as suitable for basketball and tennis, which was a new direction for the brand that usually revolves around running shoes. Designed by the legendary Steven Smith, who is responsible for some of the most iconic New Balance running silhouettes. The 1500 looked to make its own mark in the footwear industry.

Now here in more colourways than ever before, the New Balance 1500 is an exclusive lifestyle shoe within the New Balance Made in UK footwear catalogue. This sweet new flavour boasts Black, Mint, and White accents all over the upper.

A shoe that stuck to its roots whilst bringing a whole new vibe, the New Balance M1500 Made in UK boasts old-school upper materials including suede, pigskin, and nubuck. This works in harmony with the modern mesh fabric. Suede overlays cover the sides of the shoe and the rest of the midfoot panel. A small embroidered “N” is placed on each side.

Proudly UK-made, these sneakers are crafted at the New Balance factory in Flimby. A classy “Made in England” label can be found on the tongue which sets it apart from other New Balance products.

The New Balance Made in UK 1500 is finished off with a diagonal blade traction pattern for consistent grip on all surfaces. Alongside this the foam midsole provides excellent impact protection and all-day comfort for the sneakerhead on the move.

This colourway of the New Balance Made in UK 1500 was released in late June 2021. It arrives in two shades of Green to give that Mint finish. A black suede mudguard reinforces the shoe and builds on the overall style. Multiple brand labels are placed on the tongue, heel, sides, and midsole. This iconic trainer boasts a gum rubber outsole for a fancy finish.
