The New Balance XC-72 combines elements of 70s concept cars with other NB trainers; resulting in this modern-day lifestyle shoe. Introduced the same way as the famous NB 327, the XC-72 debuted thanks to another New Balance x Casablanca collab. Officially unveiled in 2021 the New Balance XC-72 primarily took design inspiration from futuristic luxury cars from the 70s. Dubbed “sports car for your feet”, the trainer boasts a sleek low-cut build with squared toe boxes.

Mesh makes up the shoe’s base, with chrome-free suede overlays and leather “N” logos; a typical build seen on most New Balance sneakers.

The heel counter of the XC-72 mimics the herringbone outsole. As unique as the brand gets, the outsole is split vertically, combining traction patterns of the XC15 rugged traction and 375’s concentric pattern. The outsole grips well, giving you a lot of coverage on most surfaces.

Midsole features basic EVA, providing decent cushioning.

This New Balance XC-72 “Black Moonbeam” features a stealthy all-black upper. Hints of Sail White comprise the tongue and certain parts of the interior padding.
