Nike honours lifetime signature athlete and NBA Superstar LeBron James in this special Nike Air Force 1 Low colourway. This pair is actually not new, but it’s releasing for the first time ever. The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Four Horsemen” pays a nod to the signing of LeBron James with this rendition that also honours his squad. Special details along with the initial of his crew and LBJ signatures can be seen on this pair.
Getting a lifetime deal with Nike is as rare as a quadruple-double in the NBA. Aside from Michael Jordan, LeBron James is one of the brand’s basketball signature athletes with a lifetime deal. Kevin Durant also just recently signed a lifetime partnership with the Swoosh.
Years before the Air Jordan 1 and Nike Dunk existed, there was one Nike basketball shoe carrying the brand. It’s none other than the Nike Air Force 1. In 1982, the AF1 arrived as the first Nike basketball shoe with Nike Air cushioning technology. This is a huge step forward for a brand focused on running shoes.
While it was successful, Nike decided to pull the plug on the AF1 for newer shoes. Fans persuaded the brand to bring the shoe back, and so Nike did, re-releasing the AF1 in 1986 and never looking back.
This Nike Air Force 1 Low “Four Horsemen” honours LeBron James and his crew with the white leather base and green accents as a nod to his St. Vincent-St. Mary High School days. Green leather Swooshes stand out on the sides.
Embroidered horse chess pieces appear on the rear to fulfil the horsemen theme. LR MR branding on the heel panel pays homage to the initials of LBJ’s close friends.
LeBron’s King logo and signature complete the sockliners.
