Make way for “The King”. We’re talking about none other than Los Angeles Lakers superstar and four-time NBA Champion LeBron James. This Nike Air Force 1 Low “LBJ” showcases a theme inspired by the pleasant winter ambience in Los Angeles, California. As well as signature details of LeBron James – a unique approach as the Swoosh closes out the year.

Aside from his own signature basketball footwear line, LeBron James continues to appear on other Nike silhouettes. This new colourway of the Nike Air Force 1 Low flaunts LBJ details all over the shoe.

Launched in 1982, the Nike Air Force 1 took on many forms over the course of the years. It may be more popularly known as a streetwear and lifestyle shoe, but the AF1 was the first basketball shoe to use the Swoosh brand’s Air cushioning technology. Nike Air provided soft cushioning and comfort for athletes and just about everybody else.

Years after dominating basketball courts, the Nike Air Force 1 transitioned to Nike Sportswear. And as expected, it became a staple lifestyle shoe for all ages.

This LeBron James edition dubbed “King’s Day” utilises the classic Nike Air Force 1 Low. A Tan and Cream White nubuck leather body features checkerboard graphics from the quarter to the rear. Black Swoosh accompanies the heel panel – where LeBron’s crown logo in blue sits below what appears to be a lion in the jungle. Blue Nike Air labels on the nubuck tongue add to the premium finish.

Another LeBron crown logo appears on the front section where the lace dubrae usually is. Inside the shoe is a special sockliner featuring LeBron’s “Strive for Greatness” phrase in a cursive font.

Below, a PU midsole boasts a large “AIR” tag on the rear area. An encapsulated Air unit runs 3/4 length for all-around comfort.

Completing this Nike Air Force 1 Low “LBJ” is the usual rubber outsole with circular traction patterns.

This shoe is expected to release in December 2021 just in time to close out the year.
