We’re now in the final month of the year, which means 2022’s about to wrap up. Nike’s final Colour of the Month edition of the Nike Air Force 1 pays a nod to the first-ever AF1 colourway. The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Silver Swoosh” comes in a fresh and clean White and Grey makeover headlined by a Silver Swoosh. We’ve come full circle with the sneaker’s 40th anniversary in 2022, and this colourway perfectly concludes the special colourways.

This timeless icon goes back to its roots as the brand introduces the latest Colour of the Month AF1 Low. The White and Grey colourway is the debut colourway of the AF1 High. Back then, the shoe is basketball’s biggest discovery thanks to Nike Air technology. Today, AF1s are the staple streetwear shoes among many generations.

The Nike Air Force 1 originally came out in 1982 as the first Nike basketball shoe with Nike Air. This paved the way for other Nike models such as the Air Jordan 1 to utilise the same technology. A popular choice among big basketball players, Nike eventually introduced the Low a year later, while the Mids arrived around the Mid-90s.

While still popular, the AF1 is now considered a lifestyle shoe as newer basketball styles prove much lighter and more comfortable. That doesn’t take anything away from the Air Force 1’s legendary history, though!
