The Nike Air Max 1 paved the way for all Air Max sneakers. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the AM1 first launched in 1987 after years of testing. What was challenging for the brand was exposing the Nike Air unit without making the bubble burst quickly. They eventually managed to make the Air unit durable and debuted the tech on the Air Max 1.
Fast forward to today, we now celebrate over 35 years of Air Max history. And we can thank the Nike Air Max 1 for all of it.
This Nike Air Max 1 Golf “White Sport Red” lands in the classic OG colourway. The shape is a little bit different but uses the same materials. You can also see the heel Air unit.
The most noticeable change is the outsole. Small nubs comprise the forefoot while thicker nubs make up the rear to ensure grip on the golf course.
