This Nike Air Max 1 Premium “Mineral Slate Deep Royal Blue” boasts vintage denim hues with aged effects on the soles. Every Air Max 1 during the silhouette’s 35th anniversary in 2022 is a must-cop pair!

If you missed out on the Nike Air Max 1 “Blueprint” during the Air Max Day celebration last March, you can try your chances on this one instead. The muted hues of Blue on the suede mudguard give this shoe a subtle acid wash effect! Another addition to the priority list of sneakers to cop as we go through the second half of 2022.

The Nike Air Max 1 originally came out in 1987 with running performance in mind. Nike Air technology was already an innovative feature from Nike, but Tinker Hatfield and the team wanted something more. They wanted more bounce. And so the Nike Air became visible as the foam midsole exposes a section on the heel – giving the Air unit more compression and provided more bounce.

Celebrating 35 years in 2022, the Nike Air Max 1 dropped in a number of impressive colourways. While some may think that the celebration is already over in March, Nike has more surprises going!

This Nike Air Max 1 Premium “Mineral Slate” features a Light Blue suede base with Denim Blue overlays. The Royal Blue Swoosh adds more vibrance to the rather toned-down colour of the upper.

The yellowing midsole and Gum rubber outsole completes the vintage-inspired makeover of this new Air Max 1 colourway.
