Previewed a few months before, we finally have an official release date for this latest Safari Air Max rendition. This time, the pair will arrive in women’s sizing. The Nike Air Max 1 Safari “Summit White” arrives in a clean colour combination headlined by Safari graphics. This iconic Safari theme first introduced in 2001 continues to be a mainstay colourway with different executions. A perfect release just in time for Air Max Day 2023 this March.

It’s that time of the year again. Yes, Air Max Day is upon us for the 36th year. Last year’s Air Max Day celebration was extra special with all those collabs and unique colourways. Nike looks to further take the event to the next level with more Air Max 1s!

Since the Nike Air Max 1 entered the mainstream culture just like the Air Max 90, it never looked back. When it first came out in 1987, there were a lot of doubters, but there were also believers. Turns out, the Air Max technology became one of the most popular Nike features known to mankind.

The AM1 features a lightweight mesh base with suede overlays for protection. A thick PU midsole houses a visible Nike Air unit in the heel. This window eventually became popular and upgraded throughout the 90s. But all of this would’ve never happened without this pioneering shoe.

The Nike Air Max 1 Safari “Summit White” features a Summit White mesh base with Grey Safari mudguards. The Swooshes on the sides also flaunt the Safari print for consistency.

Light Blue tones complement the neutral colour blocking.
