The Nike Air Max 90 debuted in 1990 as the Nike Air Max III. First intended for performance running, the shoe then became a defining moment for streetwear and Nike’s lifestyle footwear selections. Today, it’s still one of the most popular trainers sought after by many.
Sticking to a similar design aesthetic as its predecessors, the AM90 came with more supportive features thanks to the TPU panels. TPU covers the lower and upper eyestay, Air Max label on the sides, and even the foam carrier on the heel midsole portion.
The Air Max unit in the heel works together with the foam midsole in providing a cushioned and comfortable ride.
