Following the celebration of the Nike Air Max 1 during March’s Air Max Day 2023, we continue on with other Air Max models. This time, we go back to 1995 as we get a bunch of Nike Air Max 95 releases.
The Nike Air Max 95 is still a fan-favourite model after all these years. First released in 1995, the AM95 became a Sergio Lozano masterpiece due to its design and advanced features. Lozano used the human anatomy as the primary design inspiration as the wavy uppers panels represent muscles.
A first time for Nike, the Air Max 95 features visible Air units in the heel and forefoot. A larger Air unit makes up the heel, while the forefoot features thinner bubbles to allow slight contact with the ground. Remember that Nike marketed the Air Max line as running trainers before becoming lifestyle shoes, hence the setup.
This Nike Air Max 95 “Black Metallic Silver” features a stealthy all-black leather upper with Metallic Silver hits on the Swoosh. Besides the Swoosh, everything else comes in Black for a stealthy finish.
