Borrowing the same colour blocking from the one that started it all! This Nike Air Max 95 “Dark Beetroot” showcases the endless possibilities of colourways for the Air Max 95. The Dark Beetroot hue takes the place of the vibrant Neon hues from the OG Air Max 95 “Neon” rendition. Air Max Day extends throughout the year for Nike.
2022 is a special year not only for the Air Max 1 but for all Air Max models in general. To celebrate, Nike’s bringing out a lot of Air Max releases; some are related to the tech’s 35th anniversary while most are regular releases. Either way, we’re all loving it!
The whole decade of the 90s was monumental for Nike. With the debut of the Nike Air Max 90, all the following Air Max trainers brought whole new improvements. The Nike Air Max 95 came out in 1995 and became one of the most iconic sneakers of all time. Designer Sergio Lozano incorporated a design inspiration like no other: the human body.
The wavy panels on the upper represent the human muscles; while the lacing setup resembles the lungs; the foam midsole acts as the lungs. Nike put a mini Swoosh on the rear while Air Max logos appear on the tongue and heel. Visible Air Max units on the forefoot and midsole provide bouncy cushioning and comfort.
This Nike Air Max 95 “Dark Beetroot” features a gradient fade of Light Grey to Black on the wavy side panels. Similar to the Neon 95s, this colourway just replaces the vibrant Neon with Dark Beetroot colours.
