Muted tones comprise this new Nike Air Max 97 colourway! Grey-based uppers are extremely popular in the Air Max 97; and this new flavour stays consistent with the amount of Grey! The Nike Air Max 97 NH “Smoke Grey Metallic Silver” boasts a lot of “Silver Bullet” vibes but without the hints of Red. And it’s slightly more muted because of the suede panels.
Silver is probably the most associated colour with the Nike Air Max 97. With the classic running trainer’s 25th anniversary coming right up later in the year, expect more brand new colourways like this to drop throughout the rest of 2022.
The Nike Air Max 97 is one of the most popular Air Max models of all time. Designer Christian Tresser pulled off an unconventional design inspiration in the form of water ripples; which is attributed to the low-cut sneaker’s wavy panels mimicking ripples. Mini Swooshes on the midfoot serve as brand labels – as well as the “air max” tag on the pull tab and tongue.
One of the most notable design layouts on the shoe is the hidden eyestay setup. It hides within the top wavy panel and highlights the upper.
This is the first trainer to incorporate full-length Air Max – providing top-notch comfort and cushioning.
This Nike Air Max 97 “Smoke Grey Metallic Silver” features Smoke Grey suede panels and a Metallic Silver mesh base. Black Swoosh logos appear in a subtle fashion. This is similar to the “Silver Bullet” but without the Red and all that.
Midsole comes in Sail White accents and houses the visible Air Max. Below is the typical Black and White waffle outsole.
