After celebrating the Nike Air Max BW’s 30th anniversary in 2021; the Swoosh continues to roll out new colourways of the shoe in the succeeding year. Earthly pastel tones dominate this new “Light Stone” rendition of the iconic Big Window silhouette. We’re already seeing a sellout on this trainer come official release.
The Nike Air Max BW came out in 1991 as the Swoosh’s premier Air Max model for the new decade. Following the popularity of the Air Max 90 (then Air Max III), Nike found a way to make the visible Air unit bigger and better; and that’s why they came up with the name BW which stands for Big Window.
Hip-hop and streetwear cultures in the UK and US paved the way for the Nike Air Max BW’s fame. Aside from the bigger window, the shoe boasts a larger Swoosh – shying away from the AM90’s mini Swoosh approach.
Because of the massive success during its 30th anniversary, the Nike Air Max BW is back for more colourways for 2022. This Nike Air Max BW “Light Stone Coconut Milk” features a yellowish light bone mesh upper with Ivory suede overlays. More soft pastel tones hit the rest of the panels, building up for a fresh makeover perfect for all seasons.
A grey waffle traction outsole completes the new colourway.
