Nike continues to honour the Nike Air inventor with an all-new colourway of the Air Max Scorpion. This new Air Max model caught a lot of attention due to its scorpion namesake taking on a literal aesthetic. The Nike Air Max Scorpion Flyknit “Frank Rudy” joins the Frank Rudy collection as a nod to the man who made all this possible.

Despite what anyone thinks, the Nike Air Max Scorpion is here to stay! Nike proudly markets the shoe as the first Nike model developed remotely. This means that the design teams created the Air Max Scorpion without seeing each other face-to-face. The result? The biggest Air Max unit ever created!

No, this is not the latest Vapormax. but it sure does look like it. The Air Max Scorpion is a new lifestyle shoe launched in 2022 as Nike continued to develop trainers amidst the pandemic. While it’s definitely harder to meet virtually than physically, Nike made use of advanced software technologies to make the development work.

The new shoe features a Flyknit upper construction with Chenille overlays. Fuse reinforcements comprise the mudguard for added protection.

The biggest highlight of the shoe is none other than the large Air Sole. This looks twice as big as the first VaporMax and mimics the scorpion’s tail.

The Nike Air Max Scorpion Flyknit “Frank Rudy” features a dazzling Blue Flyknit upper with Orange and Yellow Swooshes. Subtle Frank Rudy tributes appear on the sockliner. An Est. 2022 label on the rear midsole pays a nod to the model’s year of release.
