More Swoosh for the Nike Air More Uptempo! This Nike Air More Uptempo ’96 dubbed the “Copy Paste Grey” presents the iconic Swoosh logo overlapping the “AIR” equipped upper. A great detail if you feel like the huge AIR wasn’t enough.

The original version only boasted mini Swooshes on the forefoot and rear midsole; so Nike decided to “CTRL C + CTRL V” the Swoosh in this “Copy Paste” rendition and placed them on the sides. With this, the oversized Swoosh now overlaps the lateral panel; while a patched-up mini Swoosh appears on the medial area. A brand new look for the 96′ hoops trainer.

Popularised and considered to be an unofficial signature shoe of NBA legend Scottie Pippen, the Nike Air More Uptempo stands out. Quite literally because of the large AIR lettering covering the majority of the upper. Designer Wilson Smith took inspiration from oversized aesthetics from graffitis and pop art from the 90s. Thus the new and unique look.

Leather and nubuck make up the upper, with multiple perforations along the panels for ventilation. As a basketball shoe, the Air More Uptempo gained popularity and reputation as a durable and stylish trainer. Eventually, rap and streetwear culture made the Uptempos even more popular as a lifestyle shoe.

Visible full-length Air Max provides bouncy cushioning, while the wavy herringbone traction pattern with segmented portions completes the outsole.

The Nike Air More Uptempo ’96 “Copy Paste Grey” arrives in all-Grey nubuck upper with white outlines. Additional Swooshes adorn the sides as extra detail.

A bluish rubber outsole finishes the design.
