A special collab that is decades in the making officially makes its debut in 2022. Sanrio’s beloved Hello Kitty finally makes its way to retailers after a cancelled launch back in 2004. This Nike Air Presto x Hello Kitty boasts the popular fictional character’s signature details in this collection. Definitely a must-cop pair for ladies and the kids; or even a worthy addition for a lot of collectors!
Way back in 2004, Nike and Sanrio already had Nike Air Presto x Hello Kitty plans in mind. It just never really panned out despite an expected release of about four or five colourways. These pairs ended up as extremely friends and family exclusive presents as each colourway only had 12 existing pairs. Hello Kitty now officially gets the chance to team up with the Swoosh this 2022 for a special collection involving the Air Presto and a matching apparel collection.
The Nike Air Presto is a serious trainer. Introduced in 2000, the shoe’s unmatched comfort thanks to a stretchy lightweight upper took four years to develop before hitting retailers.
Its unique construction paved the way for a size range that’s just as unique; we all know apparel always come in sizes Small, Medium, Large, and so on – the same goes for the Prestos. Each size corresponds to multiple foot sizes for that perfect fit.
This Nike Air Presto x Hello Kitty highlights the namesake subject by scattering Hello Kitty faces all over the Blue mesh upper. Hello Kitty’s signature red ribbon appears on the tongue, while Hello Kitty motifs also adorn the heel panel and the five dots on the lateral side.
A special packaging box with more Hello Kitty themes completes this special collab.
The shoe will release in full-family sizes together with an apparel collection such as a hoodie, a t-shirt, and sweatpants.
Keep an eye out for its release in May 2022.
