Past meets present in this brand new colourway inspired by Marion Franklin Rudy, the inventor of Nike Air technology. We already have many iterations of the Nike Air Vapormax since its first launch back in 2017. Its sustainable 2021 version returns with a nod to the creator of Nike Air Technology. This Nike Air Vapormax 2021 Flyknit “Frank Rudy” showcases Lemon Wash hues with subtle Frank Rudy details on the shoe. The colour combination makes up for a proper Autumn highlight!
As part of the brand’s most premium offerings, the Nike Air Vapormax remains quite popular after all these years. The latest colourway will take it all the way back to 1977 when aerospace engineer Frank Rudy invented polyurethane bags with gases for cushioning.
Unveiled in 2021, the Nike Air Vapormax 2021 Flyknit retains the usual Vapormax DNA such as the Flyknit upper and AirSole unit. But this time, sustainable materials are now part of the shoe, joining the brand’s Next Nature campaign.
The Flyknit upper has recycled strands of yarn to further reinforce the body. A plastic heel counter locks the foot down and adds support to the rear section.
Back once again is the full-length AirSole unit with rubber traction pods. This is a different structure than the first model, but still provides the same bouncy cushioning we all loved.
This Nike Air Vapormax 2021 Flyknit “Frank Rudy” features a Sail White Flyknit upper with Black Nike labels. Lemon Wash Nike Swooshes, heel counter, and sole complement the theme. The blueprint sockliner features Frank Rudy’s signature as a nod to his masterpiece. An Est. 2021 label appears on the lateral sole area to honour the model’s release date.
Keep an eye out for more Frank Rudy Air Max models as we close out 2022.
