Military vibes all around. This Nike Air Huarache “Cargo Khaki” boasts a more durable upper material so you’re ready to face any weather!
You know it’s a good year for sneakers when multiple Nike Air Huaraches arrive.
The Nike Air Huarache debuted in 1991 as the main model to utilise the then-new Huarache technology. The 90s was a year where new sneaker technologies such as cushioning systems and lightweight fabrics took the spotlight.
The Huarache technology is one of Nike’s newcomers that made its way to both performance sports and lifestyle trainers. Designed by the legendary Tinker Hatfield, the Nike Huarache boasts a neoprene upper and ankle collar that hugs the foot. Its one-piece upper entry greatly helped buyers find the perfect fit. Aside from the neoprene upper, Nike made the shoe lighter by getting rid of excess materials on the upper. Opting a combination of leather and rubber overlays to keep the structure intact.
With a mesh, neoprene, and leather construction on the body, the Nike Air Huarache proved to be durable and comfortable. A distinct Air Huarache logo can be seen on the tongue, which replaces the Swoosh. The Nike Air Huarache is one of the most beloved “Swooshless” trainers to ever release.
This new colourway of the Nike Air Huarache sports a Cordura nylon fabric on the upper. A Cordura tag on the front panel ensures that you’re getting a heavy-duty pair that can withstand extreme weather conditions. Cargo Khaki and Military Green accents make up all of the upper.
A Black rubber counter and sole add to the camo-like appearance of this new colourway.
Completing the design is the waffle traction pattern below.
The Nike Air Huarache Cordura “Cargo Khaki” is set for a November 2021 release. Expect it to be available on the Nike website.
