Nike SB gives the Air Max 95 a serious technical remix, keeping the soul of Sergio Lozano’s running classic while building it out for skate performance. This hybrid doesn’t just carry over the look—it adapts key details to suit a different kind of grind.
The familiar layered panels return, but suede and leather now take over from the usual mesh and synthetics. That shift gives the shoe a tougher, more tactile build—one that holds up better under grip tape. SB also adjusted the shape, sitting the foot lower to improve boardfeel while keeping enough Air in the midsole for underfoot cushioning. A herringbone tread runs across the outsole, boosting traction whether you’re pushing down the street or landing hard.
Colour-wise, it’s a standout. Grey tones echo the OG gradient, but brighter hits of Cactus Flower break through the upper and midsole to add contrast. Nike SB logos land on the heel, tongue, and shank, reminding you this isn’t just a visual update—it’s a purpose-built reinterpretation.
The gum sole pulls the whole thing together with classic skate appeal, while the padded tongue and internal tweaks make the fit more responsive than the original runner ever allowed.
Nike SB’s take on the Air Max 95 proves one thing: performance updates don’t have to come at the cost of character. This release delivers both.
