The arrival of the Nike TN Air Max Plus introduced Tuned Air, Nike’s advanced Air technology. Many sneakerheads were curious about this revolutionary cushioning system and rightly so. The majority were impressed due to the durability and comfort. Way ahead of its time, the Nike TN Air Max Plus released in bright colourways to stand out from the crowd.
Still going strong in the year 2021 this TN Air Max Plus colourway arrives in a clean and classic look, headlined by multiple multi-coloured Swooshes on the lateral side.
Like other 2021 Nike Sportswear models, this pair features an all-white upper base and multi-coloured Swooshes of Blue, Green, and Red. Though unofficially part of a Nike theme, many Nike models released in a similar style around Summer 2021.
Drawing inspiration from modern city beach life, this Nike TN Air Max Plus is built with a white airy mesh upper. The wavy TPU fingers signify palm trees and ocean waves and are strategically placed throughout the upper to add structure and support. This colourway could be considered a minimalistic style, with the colourful Swooshes and gradual blue strips stealing the show.
The bedazzled blue Swoosh on the lateral and medial side of the sneaker is outlined with larger Swoosh logos in red and green. You might think this shoe was an unannounced tribute colourway to the Olympics. The tongue is labelled with a blue “Swoosh Air” logo while the heel cup is placed with the iconic Tuned Air trademark.
The leather mudguard adds durability to the shoe. A foam midsole houses the visible heel and forefoot Tuned Air Max unit which is decoupled by a blue TPU arch. This structure takes inspiration from a whale’s tail and provides torsional support. Finishing it off is the waffle traction outsole with hints of blue and sail white.
