Back in 2005, Paul Rodriguez dropped his first Nike SB signature shoe. Now, twenty years on, Nike is bringing it back almost exactly how fans remember it. The Zoom Air P-Rod 1 returns with the original “White Black” colourway, marking two decades since it first set a new standard in skate footwear.
This retro sticks close to the original blueprint. Smooth white leather runs across the upper, matched with a black Swoosh, mesh tongue, and padded collar for comfort and durability. It’s the same low-cut build skaters backed back in the day—down to the quilted heel padding and cupsole construction.
Underfoot, Nike includes the carbon shank plate and Zoom Air unit in the heel, keeping performance as sharp as ever. The translucent outsole adds grip, while the midsole still features that signature notched tooling. The sidewalls wrap in that unmistakable P-Rod pattern, nodding to the early 2000s era without feeling stuck in the past.
Platinum detailing on the lace dubrae and heel branding brings the celebration full circle. The “SHS” hit—short for Stoneridge High School, where P-Rod graduated—cements the legacy. Nike hasn’t just reissued a classic; they’ve honoured it properly.
