Nike’s rare Vandal silhouette finally returns with the help of streetwear label Stussy. We’ve seen a bunch of celebrities and Nike athletes rock the Vandal High a few years ago, indicating a potential comeback. Nike revives another model from the 80s archives following the Mac Attack and Terminator. This Stussy x Nike Vandal High “Deep Royal Blue” flaunts a lightweight hemp base in blue with signature Stussy details.
Stussy picks another unique shoe in the Nike archives after the trio of Air Max 2013 collabs in the past year. This Vandal High release marks the first time Nike brought the shoe back since the limited colourways in 2018. With this Stussy collab, you can swap the ankle straps and laces for something more eye-catching!
The Nike Vandal was one of Nike’s underrated basketball models in 1984. Nike used a canvas upper build with a nylon tongue to construct the Vandal. The Velcro ankle strap locked the foot down for basketball purposes. Modern Nike Vandal releases in the previous decade came with a leather upper with shiny Swooshes on the sides.
The Stussy x Nike Vandal High collection brings three colourways of the classic 80s shoe. Just like most Stussy x Nike collabs, two colourways will arrive in Fossil and Black.
This Stussy x Nike Vandal High “Deep Royal Blue” features a royal blue hemp upper with a black embroidered Swoosh on the sides in Stussy style. The streetwear brand’s signature 8-ball logo adorns the tongue with exposed foam edges.
The ankle strap arrives in black but comes with an extra strap boasting graffiti labels around it. Extra laces come in white and orange to complete the “vandalised” aesthetic.
Cop this collab pair when it drops this June 2023.
