The unique “Dunk Vs. AF-1” collection by Nike and Los Angeles sneaker store UNDEFEATED continues with another Air Force 1 Low colourway. Continuing the tradition of flipped colour schemes between the Nike Dunk and the AF1, the “5 On It” theme is also on full display in this sneaker.
Introduced in 1982, the Nike Air Force 1 quickly rose in popularity among basketball players; mostly because of its Nike Air technology. It was the first time that Nike put their patented cushioning system on a basketball shoe. Helping hoopers get the right amount of comfort and impact protection when playing.
But due to the sneaker’s appealing style, it found its way to the feet of just about everybody. Hooper or not, the Nike Air Force 1 was the top option for many people. And the Nike Air Force 1 Low remains to be the top-selling sneaker of the Swoosh brand.
Fast forward to 2021, the AF1 Low is still popular and currently has over 2,000 released colourways. This collab with UNDEFEATED is just one of the many anticipated Nike Air Force 1 Low releases of the year.
This is just one of the three confirmed colourways in the “Dunk Vs. AF-1” collection set to launch this year. The Blue and Yellow colourway of the UNDEFEATED x Nike Air Force 1 Low SP boasts five different materials to stay true to the “5 On It” theme of the capsule.
The forefoot, eyestay, and the rear overlays don the fancy croc skin material in blue. While the mesh vamp and the canvas midfoot panels appear in a golden yellow shade. Contrasting shades of white and yellow don the Nike Swoosh on the medial and lateral sides, respectively. The Swoosh also has a leather construction on the exterior, while the yellow medial Swoosh appears in a different texture.
UNDFTD’s embroidered five strikes logos are placed on the lateral sides in typical fashion. The logo also embellishes the tongue.
An aged and yellowed sole brings a completely different finish to the shoe. Complementing the golden yellow accents on the upper.
