Nike continues to release more women’s exclusive Air More Uptempos in 2023. All pairs appeared in different colourways and gimmicks. It’s a huge far cry from the classic colourways worn for basketball back in the late 90s. It’s obvious that the Air More Uptempo is now a legend in streetwear fashion even today.
Known for turning heads with the large AIR, the Air More Uptempo also caught a lot of attention in the NBA. Nike originally released the shoe in 1996 as Scottie Pippen’s non-official signature shoe. This model along with Jordan’s Air Jordan 11 dominated the league as the Chicago Bulls won that season.
Leather and nubuck make up the upper of the shoe. Large AIR on both sides serves as the main eye-catching feature of the shoe. Segmented visible Air units provide cushioning and impact protection.
This WMNS Nike Air More Uptempo “White Metallic Silver” features a White leather base with Black accents on the outlines and tongue panels. The foam midsole sports a Metallic Silver shade for that shiny detail. A translucent rubber outsole completes the clean design.
