Love them or hate them, you’ll seem them everywhere. The adidas Yeezy 450 “Cloud White” debuted early 2021, but dropped in another UK and EU re-release for later in the year.
This is probably the most minimalistic Yeezy sneaker we’ve ever seen. But at the same time theres a lot going on with this shoe. Unlike past Yeezy models that utilised Boost and multiple layers of materials, the Yeezy 450 combines just two materials.
Early images of the exclusive sneaker leaked on the internet in 2020. The shoe initially became subject to memes among the sneaker community. But the publicity it earned served as leverage for the Yeezy 450. We all know how Kanye does it, and this method works well when it comes to Yeezy brand sneakers.
With only two materials keeping the shoe together, adidas and Yeezy looked for a different angle here. An angle that would give the shoe enough attention for it to make headlines. Featuring a Primeknit upper with a sock-like entry, the one-piece knit upper is wrapped in an aggressive EVA sole that provides the overall support. The EVA sole has teeth attached to the rest of the Primeknit upper to give it structure.
Sure, it may look like a futuristic shoe from another dimension. But its eye-catching aesthetic and limited quantity made it one of the most anticipated Yeezy releases of the year.
Thick laces and the wavy traction pattern on the outsole complete the eccentric design.
The first colourway to release was the Cloud White drop. Dressed in an all white makeover that highlights the exaggerated foam sole.
After releasing in early 2021, the colourway returned for another restock in October 2021. Cop the Yeezy 450 “Cloud White” through the links to the adidas website and other select stores.
