More neutral Yeezys for Ye! The adidas Yeezy 500 “Clay Brown” continues the natural and earthly tones of recent adidas Yeezy releases. Perfect for the fans of the chunky sneaker trend, or what the sneaker community calls the “dad shoes”.
The first Yeezy sneaker to not feature Boost (the Yeezy 950 Duckboot does not count), the adidas Yeezy 500 brought back a classic Three Stripes technology instead. Introduced in 2017 and officially launched in 2018, the Yeezy 500 arrived at the peak of the “dad shoe” trend. And it worked perfectly as the sneaker community hyped the shoe up; just like every single adidas Yeezy release since 2015.
This low-top sneaker features a breathable mesh base upper, leather panels, and suede overlays. The highlight of the shoe appears on the sole, where Kanye brought back the performance-centric Feet You Wear technology. The sole borrowed the same Feet You Wear pattern from the adidas KB8 3, except the Yeezy 500 features a slightly slimmer midfoot shank.
adidas’ 1996 Feet You Wear technology provides support and stability thanks to the design that mimics the natural curves of the barefoot. This resulted in a more natural movement that’s essential for the top athletes.
Various adidas Basketball silhouettes featured the technology, but it’s now revived once again with the adidas Yeezy 500.
This upcoming adidas Yeezy 500 “Clay Brown” arrives with two shades of Brown. Darker accents adorn the mesh upper and the sole, while lighter hues of Brown fill the suede overlays. The Yeezy 500 once again sticks to its minimalist detail and almost monochromatic colour schemes.
Expect a release on the final week of October 2021 on the adidas website.
