New Balance celebrates the NB 998’s 30th anniversary with a special three-way powerhouse collab. The brand teams up with Ronnie Fieg and the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation for this extremely limited release. This Ronnie Fieg x Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation x New Balance 998 “Broadacre City Capsule” reimagines the famous architect’s concept into two 998 sneakers. The Broadacre City concept is an idea imagined by Frank Lloyd Wright that promotes a self-sufficient way of living.
The shoe initially released in Kith Tokyo and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West. Those who want to cop in Europe a pair can check Kith shops in-store and online.
No better way to celebrate a milestone than with a special release. The New Balance 998 “Broadacre City Capsule” celebrates not only the model’s 30th year but also architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s creations.
These two colourways feature neutral tones on the vamp and midfoot with Green accents on the rear. It’s a nod to sustainability as well as the Broadacre City concept.
One pair rocks an orange fuzzy suede toe mudguard, the other features a reddish-brown smooth suede overlay.
More suede panels make up the midfoot and heel section.
The sockliner boasts co-branded New Balance and Frank Lloyd Wright labels. Thick rope laces come in a mix of White, Black, and Red.
The finishing touch on the shoe comes in the special New Balance Box featuring the Broadacre City in its entirety.
Make sure to stay tuned on the 17th of April on physical Kith stores and website.
