When Tinker Hatfield introduced the Air Max 1 back in 1987, it completely revolutionised the sneaker industry. Working on top of a “Neutral Grey” mesh foundation, these trainers are overlaid by panels and panels of tumbled leather, all painted in “White.” A fiery red Nike Swoosh shoots through the lateral and medial sidewalls for a punch of contrast, and neon green branding features on the tongue tag and heel badge for a look that is sure to grab everyone’s attention.
But, there’s more. The mudguard that wraps around the entire AM1 is decked out in brilliant black suede, and all of this rests on top of a crisp white midsole.
