Street Art Meets Streetwear With the Slawn x Nike Air Max 90

If for whatever reason you’ve never heard of Olaolu Slawn, we guarantee that you will very soon. Considered by many to be one of the most influential contemporary artists living today, the British-Nigerian creative is known for his bold graffiti-style aesthetic. And for the upcoming Slawn x Nike Air Max 90, he’s combining street art with streetwear.

Revealed in two colour combinations, including the “White Speckle” and the “Black Speckle,” Slawn’s first take on the Air Max 90 keeps it surprisingly clean. Crafted from premium leather, both trainers are left nice and simple. But when you take a closer look, you’ll see that the uppers are covered in splashes of paint, mimicking the controlled chaos of a working artist’s studio.

The classic Swoosh is reimagined with a rough, sketched-in look, breaking away from the usual sleek branding. His personal touch then extends to the debossed graffiti-style patterns across the upper, adding layers of texture and depth. The heel branding swaps out the traditional Nike logo for a custom Slawn face design, and all of this comes packed in a special edition shoebox that was made exclusively for this collaboration.

The Slawn x Nike Air Max 90 is destined to be one of 2025’s hottest collaborations. Expected to release on March 1st, let us know which colourway you’ll be going for, and be sure to keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
