Earlier this month, adidas announced that it was going to start dropping Yeezy sneakers again in hopes that it will be able to sell off the rest of its remaining stock. The decision was a surprising yet expected one, and it’s going to be kicked off with the all-new Yeezy 500 High Tactical Boot “Sand.” Set to be the second colourway to hit this silhouette, make sure you keep reading to find out everything that we know so far.
Kanye West has a long history of drawing inspiration from military-inspired models, and this beige-hued Yeezy has clearly been influenced by a pair of traditional army boots. Featuring a mixed material construction that includes knits, leathers, meshes, and suedes, it’s tied together using a pair of thick rope laces that run across the entire ankle for the ultimate lockdown fit. The collar has been slightly padded for extra comfort, and the heel has also been beefed up for additional cushioning.
Shifting your focus towards the bottom half of the shoe and you’ll quickly find elements that have been swiped straight off of the 500. The signature adiPRENE midsole makes a quick comeback, complete with the curved grid-like pattern that has been a YZY staple since 2018 when the “Super Moon Yellow” first debuted. It’s then lined with a dash of gum rubber for even more grip.
The Yeezy 500 High Tactical Boot “Sand” is expected to drop within the coming weeks at adidas and select stockists globally. Stay tuned for further updates, and make sure you keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to cop!
