The adidas Superstar “404 Day” is a Special Tribute to Atlanta

adidas is honouring Atlanta this season with the upcoming adidas Superstar “404 Day.” Getting its name from the unofficial cultural holiday that’s rooted in the city’s area code (celebrated on April 4th every year, by the way), it’s a loud and proud tribute to ATL’s impact on music, sport, and fashion.

This special edition Superstar boasts a “Core Black” nubuck base that’s smooth and buttery to the touch. Glossy patent leather hits the Three Stripe branding, and around the heel, the fiery red heel tab is dripped out in faux snakeskin for an extra premium look and feel.

Touches of “Metallic Gold” run throughout the sneaker, including the Superstar branding across the sides as well as the “404 Day!” callout on the heel. A gold grille-inspired lace dubrae references Atlanta’s hip-hop heritage, and to wrap it all up, a peach logo appears on the tongue as a sweet nod to Georgia’s roots.
