For Jerry Lorenzo, the grind just never stops. After unleashing several Fear of God Athletics Basketball I colourways over the past few months, the California-based designer is now ready to take this collab to the next level with the very appropriately-named adidas x Fear of God Athletics Basketball II. Designed to address the performance limitations of its predecessor, this release is primed for both on-court action and off-court appeal.
The Basketball II comes in two versions: a mid-top and a high-top. Both feature a sleek upper with smooth paneling, accented by abstract striping for a modern, minimalist look. The mid-top sports an external heel counter for added stability, while the high-top version adds an adjustable ankle strap for enhanced lockdown, making it extra versatile for athletes who value support.
Underfoot, the shoe incorporates a semi-translucent gum midsole with multi-directional circular traction patterns, ensuring grip and responsiveness on the hardwood. The combination of the cream white unit and the muted brown upper gives the silhouette a sophisticated edge, bridging the gap between sports and high fashion.
Already tested in NBA action by Gabe Vincent of the Los Angeles Lakers, the adidas x Fear of God Athletics Basketball II represents a new chapter in performance footwear, merging luxury with functionality. Dropping sometime in December, let us know if you’ll be going for these, and be sure to keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
