After months and months of rumours, the Bode x Nike Astro Grabber has finally been officially revealed. First teased in the New York City menswear brand’s Autumn 2024 lookbook back in January, the sneakers have now been unwrapped in two clean colourways, including “Black” and “Natural.” Another thing that makes this collab so special is that this is the first time the Astro Grabber’s been reissued in 50 years.
The “Black” boasts a smooth leather construction that’s soft and supple to the touch, while the “Natural” opts for a beige canvas base that’s complemented by suede overlays throughout. Contrasting Swooshes glide through the lateral and medial sidewalls of both sneakers, while the “Bode” tag on the tongue is done up in Nike‘s old school front from back in the day.
To make this collection even more unique, the traditional models have been injected with a dash of playfulness with an array of fun attachments that adorn the laces. The “Black,” for example, gets a silver baseball charm, while the “Natural” comes equipped with miniature plastic lobsters, cows, and airplanes.
The release of the Bode x Nike Astro Grabber is set for April 18th, with a broader launch following on May 1st. Let us know which pair you’re feeling the most, and keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
