CLOT and Nike go way back. But it looks like after 17 years, they’ll be putting an end to their long-standing partnership with the CLOT x Nike Dunk Low “What The.” Combining some of their most iconic collaborations into one pair of trainers, this high heat hybrid has been made for hardcore fans of the Chinese streetwear boutique.
While official details have yet to be confirmed by the Edison Chen and Kevin Poon-helmed label, just from this single shot alone you can spot plenty of cool details throughout. The heel on the left shoe has been swiped straight from the Air Max 1 “KoD” that released in 2006. The upper is inspired by the Terracotta Army-inspired Air Jordan 13 and the “Red Silk” Air Force 1 that debuted three years ago.
The right shoe boasts the heel from last year’s Dunk High “Flux.” This comes complete with the lenticular design that changes depending on what angle you’re looking at it from . This side of the trainer is then finished off with details from the Fragment Design collab from earlier this season.
According to the latest sports, this will be CLOT’s final sneaker with Nike before their contract is over. Moving forward they’ll be focusing their efforts on Adidas. Of course, CLOT has teamed up with the German sportswear company in the past. Back in 2018, CLOT’s lifestyle store division JUICE released a NMD Racer that was covered in an other-worldly Alienegra motif.
