Jeff Staple is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most influential figures in streetwear. From his 2005 Nike SB Dunk Low to his own in-line collections, everything he touches turns into rock-solid hype. And now, the Chinese designer has something else in the works. For the first time ever, he’s teaming up with Li-Ning for the Jeff Staple x Li-Ning Way of Wade collection. Comprising three silhouettes, if you don’t have a pair of Li-Nings in your daily rotation, this might just change everything.
Leading the pack is the Jeff Staple x Li-Ning Way of Wade 11. Boasting a bold multicolour design, it’s crafted from leather and mesh and suede for the complete package. A toggle switch lacing system offers an extremely rugged aesthetic, and the toebox is decorated with a pixelated bird poo graphic that nods back to Staple’s obsession with pigeons. The pack is then followed by two Way of Wade 1 Lows. The first pair is drenched in his signature signature grey tones with a speckled midsole, while the other brings a pink-to-grey gradient, offering a modern twist on a classic theme.
Rounding it all off is the Shadow CRC 2.0. Inspired by ping-pong, it’s designed with a metallic silver upper and subtle pink detailing. All of these sneakers are then packed in special edition boxes that are almost as collectible as the kicks themselves.
At this moment in a time, a release date for the Jeff Staple x Li-Ning Way of Wade has yet to be announced. Let us know which pair you’re feeling the most, and be sure to keep it locked Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
