The adidas Ultraboost 1.0 “OG” is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most iconic trainers ever made. First introduced in 2015, what was originally supposed to be another running shoe somehow inspired a whole new generation of sneakerheads. Even Kanye West was a big fan, wearing it multiple times throughout his tenure with the German sportswear company. And, to celebrate the 10th birthday of the legendary “OG,” it’s being brought back in its original form.
Working on top of a slick “Core Black” base, the Ultraboost features a sock-like Primeknit upper that’s extremely breathable. A matte cage wraps around the midfoot section for added support, and around the back, you’ll find the classic purple heel counter that holds everything in place.
Of course, you can’t talk about the “OG” without giving the midsole a special shoutout. Made with Boost technology, even though this model is a decade old, it’s still one of the most comfortable soles in the game. As if that wasn’t cool enough already, adidas has also lined it with a durable Continental outsole. This is made from the same rubber as the tyres that you might find some of the most expensive sports cars out there, providing wearers with unrivalled traction and grip.
But what makes this particular release extra special? A limited edition anniversary hangtag, marking 10 years of Ultraboost excellence. It’s a small but meaningful nod for collectors and longtime fans who’ve been fans of the iconic silhouette since the very beginning.
The adidas Ultra Boost 1.0 OG “10th Anniversary” should not be missed. Expected to drop on February 11th, let us know if you’ll be going for these, and be sure to keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
