At the end of last year, Grammy nominated rapper Lil Yachty took to Instagram to tease the Lil Yachty x Nike Air Force 1 “Concrete Boys.” Fans of the Let’s Start Here artist were beyond hyped, but sadly, these were revealed to be a friends and family-exclusive. With that said, in a very unexpected turn of events, it looks like the legendary Air Force 1 is finally getting a wider drop after all, so make sure you read on to find out everything that we know so far.
Merging Yachty’s creativity with the legendary design of the Air Force 1, from a distance, this looks just like another classic AF1. But as soon as you take a closer look you’ll start to see some special details. Crafted from a premium “White” leather upper, the inside of the trainer and the outsole are both dipped in “Dark Navy” tones.
Around the lateral heel, you’ll find a stick figure holding a hammer. And as soon as you look at the back badge, you’ll immediately realise that this is actually a reference to the American rapper’s Concrete Boys line. A special “It’s Us” tag is stitched on the tongue, and to add to the exclusivity, Nike has created custom packaging for this release. Each pair arrives in a specially designed box adorned with Concrete Boys artwork and logos, making this collab a must-own for fans.
With its clean design, unique details, and Yachty’s personal branding, the Lil Yachty x Nike Air Force 1 “Concrete Boys” delivers a unique take on the classic model, merging streetwear and hip-hop into one.
