Ever since the 990v6 was introduced back in 2022, it’s quickly become one of New Balance‘s most popular silhouettes. And while we’ve been blessed with some premium versions over the past two years, none of them come close to the upcoming Loro Piana x New Balance 990v6.
Made in collaboration with the luxury Italian fashion house, this sneaker is built on a foundation of super high-end materials. The upper, for example, is dressed in a buttery grey nubuck that exudes opulence. Even the iconic “N” logo is lined with burgundy calfskin leather that’s buttery soft. Co-branding is discreetly placed on the tongue and insole to remind you that this isn’t any ordinary 990, and all of this comes packed in a limited edition shoebox that was made exclusively for this coveted collection.
But, wait. Yes, Loro Piana’s version of the New Balance model looks amazing, but it also performs like a dream too. Underfoot, the midsole is infused with ENCAP tech for added cushioning and a more stable ride. It’s also fitted with FuelCell for extra comfort with every stride. All of this is then finished off with a complementary rubber outsole, finalising the design.
Limited to just 1,000 pairs, the Loro Piana x New Balance 990v6 is priced at $1,000. Loro Piana’s VIP customers have already had the opportunity to secure their pairs, with the public release set for September 5th at select Loro Piana stores.
