The Marvel x Kith x ASICS “Super Villains” Collection is Evil in the Best Way Possible

At this point, Ronnie Fieg has got to be the busiest man in the entire sneaker game. After taking the wraps off of a New Balance collaboration just a few weeks ago, the New York City-based designer has now revealed the Marvel x Kith x ASICS “Super Villains” collection. Made in partnership with the comic book giant, while most projects of this calibre focus on the heroes, this one shines a light on some of the franchise’s greatest enemies, including Magneto, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, Venom, and Green Goblin.

The pack features three iconic ASICS silhouettes, including the GEL-1130, the GEL-Kayano 14, and of course, the GT-2160. Each pair showcases vibrant colours and intricate details that pay homage to the respective villains. The designs are meticulously crafted to reflect the personalities and aesthetics of these legendary characters. For instance, the GEL-1130, inspired by Venom, boasts sleek black and white web-like accents, while the GEL-Kayano 14 dedicated to Green Goblin is decked out in a mix of purple and green hues, complete with textured overlays that mimic the bad guy’s chaotic nature.

Adding to the allure, each pair is accompanied by co-branded Marvel x Kith comics, turning these sneakers into true collector’s items. The special packaging highlights the collaboration’s theme, blending comic elements with premium footwear to create a nostalgic experience for both comic fans and sneaker enthusiasts.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that these three have joined forces. Last year, they teamed up to release X-Men-themed colourways of the ASICS GEL-Lyte 3. Each pair was packaged in blind boxes and came with Upper Deck trading cards. This year’s project continues in the same vein, with collaborative comics graded by PSA, adding an extra layer of exclusivity.

While exact release details remain under wraps, the Marvel x Kith x ASICS “Super Villains” collection is expected to debut at PSA’s booth at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend.
