The New Balance 991v2 “Essentially Offbeat” Keeps it Neutral

New Balance is on a roll this year. Not only are they dropping major collaborations left, right, and centre, the Boston sportswear company is also releasing some pretty iconic collections, including the New Balance 991v2 “Essentially Offbeat” pack. Featuring two neutral colourways, trying to decide which one to get is going to prove pretty difficult.

Made in the UK at the brand’s Flimby factory, this 991v2 drop is all about high-quality fabrics and materials. The first pair lands in rich brown suede with violet mesh and deep green accents – there’s a definite “Beef & Broccoli” vibe going on here. On the other hand, its counterpart flips the script. Tan suede overlays are contrasted against green mesh, while violet underlays make thing even more unique.

Despite the differences, the details stay consistent. Both sneakers come equipped with cream-coloured midsoles, reflective “N” logos, and classic branding on the tongue and heel. ABZORB SBS cushioning runs underfoot, ensuring that comfort never takes a back seat.

With the New Balance 991v2 “Essentially Offbeat”, you’re getting something that feels familiar, but doesn’t play it safe. Dropping on April 17th, let us know which one you’ll be getting, and be sure to keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size.
