Over the past couple of years, Nike‘s Next Nature line has been paving the way for more environmentally-friendly sneakers. Starting off with the Dunk Low in 2021, the sustainable series eventually made its way across a bunch of other silhouettes, including the upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Next Nature “Anthracite.” While most eco-conscious kicks opt for lighter palettes and pastel tones, this one goes down a darker route instead.
Featuring a synthetic leather construction that’s infused with recycled materials, this Air Force 1 is dipped in an “Anthracite” colour scheme. This stealthy shade extends from the tongue towards the heel and laces, and is contrasted by “Light Orewood Brown” accents along the Swoosh, resulting in an aesthetic that’s guaranteed to turn heads wherever you go.
With all that said, one of the standout features of these Next Nature kicks is the distinctive speckled midsole underfoot. To some, this is just another Air midsole, but for those who are up-to-date, you’d know that this unique pattern means that this unit has been crafted from Nike Grind – essentially scrap rubber that has been collected from factory floors during the manufacturing process.
Anticipated to launch sometime in December, let us know what you think of the Nike Air Force 1 Next Nature “Anthracite,” and be sure to keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to cop!
