With Lunar New Year 2025 coming up just around the corner, Nike is celebrating the annual event with the Nike Air Force 1 “Year of the Snake.” Inspired by the sixth animal in the Chinese zodiac, while past iterations have taken the theme quite literally, this upcoming version keeps it nice and clean.
Crafted from smooth “Sail” leather throughout, this Air Force 1 features embossed patterns on the collar and heel that are meant to resemble a pile of snakes. A “Jade Green” Swoosh glides across the lateral and medial sidewalls, and just in case one wasn’t enough, Nike has embroidered a smaller tick right in front of it.
Additional “Jade Green” accents grace the heel badge, which is the traditional stone for luck, while the tongue tag boasts a red snakeskin texture, which is the traditional colour for good fortune. The “Year of the Snake” is then finished off with a limited edition snake-like dubrae that’s painted in shiny metallic gold. All of this then comes packed in a special shoebox that’s almost as collectible as the actual trainers themselves.
The Nike Air Force 1 “Year of the Snake” is set to release sometime in early 2025. Let us know if you will be adding this to your collection, and be sure to keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
